Text 5 Apr 6 notes #4. Clove planned on killing Glimmer the day that Katniss dropped the tracker jacker nest on the Careers.

Clove was sick of Glimmer and promised herself she’d wake up earlier than anyone else that morning and kill Glimmer. When Clove saw Glimmer’s face in the sky, she knew it was a result of the tracker jackers that the girl from Twelve dropped on the Careers. She vowed from that moment to kill that girl slowly and painfully for taking her kill away.

Text 10 Mar 5 notes #3. As Cato held Clove, dying, their last conversation was filled with more emotion than either one of them could have imagined.

“Clove, stay with me! Please. All you have to do is outlast the others. Then you’ll be all fixed up at the Capitol and we can go home. Please, Clove,” Cato begged, eyes flooded with tears.

“No, Cato, I won’t make it,” Clove whispered. “Don’t let me slow you down. I love you, Cato. Now win for me.”

Clove closed her eyes, and the cannon went off. The tears spilled over Cato’s eyelids onto Clove’s face. He kissed her one last time, then walked away without looking back. He set off for the monster from Eleven, the one who took away his whole world with one swing of the arm.

Text 8 Mar 4 notes #2. Peeta never deliberately killed anyone in the 74th Games

He didn’t even finish off the District 8 girl. Instead, he held her hand until she died, just as he did with the Morphling a year later.

Text 5 Mar 3 notes #1. If Katniss hadn’t volunteered, Prim would have died of starvation in the Hunger Games

Prim would have run far from the Cornucopia as soon as possible, avoiding the initial blood bath. She would survive the Games for three days, but ultimately die of starvation and dehydration.
